About the Role

The System Administrator maintains the operational efficiency and security of IT infrastructure across our client base. This is a Tier 2 support role focused on installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, networks, and software for architecture, engineering, and construction firms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support across client environments, resolving escalated helpdesk tickets efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, networks, and cloud services (primarily Microsoft 365 and Azure).
  • Manage software deployments, patching, and updates across managed client environments.
  • Administer and monitor data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Respond to assigned tickets within SLA, tracking all work accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Travel to client sites as required for onsite support and project delivery.
  • Escalate complex issues and client concerns appropriately to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a managed IT services or similar technical support environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking fundamentals, and endpoint management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour with clients.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required.
  • Experience with RMM and PSA platforms (NinjaOne, Autotask, or similar) is an asset.

Compensation

Base salary range: $70,000 – $100,000.
